On Saturday, October 28 at 7 PM, The Photo Review will hold its 2017 Benefit Auction at the University of the Arts, Caplan Studio Theater, 16th floor of Terra Hall, 211 South Broad Street in Philadelphia.

The event will feature an international slate of photographers as well as a host of Philadelphia artists. Beginning and experienced collectors alike will have the opportunity to bid on work by such historic masters as Berenice Abbott, Eugène Atget, Édouard Baldus, Ilse Bing, Samuel Bourne, Adolphe Braun, Harry Callahan, Robert Capa, Imogen Cunningham, Edward S. Curtis, Frantisek Drtikol, Maxime Du Camp, Frank Eugene, Louis Faurer, Philippe Halsman, Florence Henri, Gertrude Käsebier, Willy Kessels, Germaine Krull, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Dora Maar, Leonard Misonne, Lisette Model, Dorothy Norman, Ruth Orkin, Timothy O’Sullivan, Irving Penn, Jaroslav Rössler, Arthur Rothstein, August Sander, Aaron Siskind, Edward Steichen, Lou Stoumen, Deborah Turbeville, Doris Ulmann, John Vachon, Todd Webb, Weegee, Minor White, and Garry Winogrand.

A silent auction, concurrent with the live auction, will feature photography equipment, museum memberships, theater tickets, books, etc.

Lodima Archival Materials has provided matting for Photo Review auction items.

A preview will be held on Friday, October 27 from 11 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday, October 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., just prior to the auction.

The Photo Review will present Michael A. Smith and Paula Chamlee and Lodima Press with The 2017 Photo Review Award for Services to the Field of Photography, at a reception from 6 to 7 p.m. on October 28, immediately proceeding the auction.
